Imagine a situation: you are in the supermarket, and you see a product basket of the person in front of you in the queue. In that basket you see two bottles of rum, some chocolate and yoghurt. Well, someone is getting ready for a lonely party, maybe?
Now let’s add a bit of context. That is a basket of a mother with two kids… looks like she had a tough day?
And a bit more context: they are on vacation, and it is their last day on a remote island, they are going back home and want to bring some local treats as presents (hence rum :) ).
Well, that was my basket in the supermarket, and when I looked at it, it made me think.
Context makes a big difference, it is really important to understand the bigger picture before running into conclusions and making assumptions, this can really help to avoid misunderstanding.
What do you think?
