How was your January?
Mine definitely was exceptional: two new countries visited (Uzbekistan on the way back to London and Mexico for business) and multiple adventures to share.
Let me share one of those.
On my 12-hour flight to Mexico my phone decided to die, or maybe to have a really good rest. It basically stopped responding to anything: buttons, charging… I thought of plans B, C, D.. had to write down on a piece of paper phone numbers and thought of involving police in helping me to get to the hotel. Well, everything went well, I found “official” taxi stands and got to my colleagues, but my phone was still dead. Great timing!
Surprisingly the day after when I randomly pressed on the buttons it showed 0%. Wow! I was so happy! Luckily, I hadn’t bought any new phone yet. My colleagues had a good laugh: could you imagine someone being so happy to have a phone on 0%!
So, it is all about perspective: sometimes 0 might be a life saviour. And another learning: redundancy matters, so now I have two phones… just in case! Our day-to-day processes are so dependent on the phones now…
